4th of July Neighborhood Block Party

Christopher Raley

This week Living Hope Fellowship hosted thirty high school kids and seven adult leaders from Operation Barnabas, a ministry of Charis Fellowship. For three days they ran Vacation Bible School here at the church. Ten to twelve children were here each day including four children from our neighborhood. The children had fun learning about the Gospel, playing games, and singing and dancing.

After the last day of VBS on the fourth, we had a church-wide block party with an open invitation to parents of children who attended VBS as well as our neighbors. Over 60 people attended. We set up tables under the shade along the front lawn and ate while kids played on the slip and slide. We are so grateful for the good fun, the wonderful fellowship, the cool weather, and for Pastor Heath and his team of volunteers for all their hard work in coordinating these two events.

A perfect day for a barbecue!
